Today is the first of December. The month of Christmas. Last month was the Black Friday month. What will November bring compared to the month of October?
Month of October? I didn't even do the sales numbers yet. Let's look at them Hardware and Software wise
Hardware:
Nintendo DS - 342k
Xbox 360 - 325k
PS3 - 250k
Wii - 232k
PSP - 75k
Hardware wise, the 360 is the only console to go up while others are going down. The Wii is behind the PS3 while the PSP is dead last with less than 100K. The DS remains on board with 342K, slightly more than the 360.
Software wise....
01. NBA 2K11 (360, PS3, PS2, PSP, WII, PC) TAKE 2 INTERACTIVE - 1.15 Million
02. Fallout: New Vegas **(360, PS3, PC) BETHESDA SOFTWORKS - 1,117,000
03. Medal of Honor **(360, PS3, PC) ELECTRONIC ARTS - Over 1 Million
04. Fable III **(360) MICROSOFT - 580K
05. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II **(360, PS3, WII, PC, NDS) LUCASARTS
06. Halo: Reach **(360) MICROSOFT - 315K
07. Just Dance 2 (WII) UBISOFT - 286K
08. FIFA Soccer 11 (PS3, 360, WII, PS2, PSP, NDS, PC) ELECTRONIC ARTS
09. Madden NFL 11 (360, PS3, WII, PS2, PSP) ELECTRONIC ARTS
10. WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 (PS3, 360, PS2, WII, PSP) THQ - 225K
NBA 2K11 leads the pack with Fallout: New Vegas right behind. Medal of Honor manages to sneak their way into number 3 with Fable 3 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II right behind. Halo Reach fell to number 6 with Just Dance 2 at number 7. Fifa Soccer 11, Madden NFL 11 and WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 round out the top 10.
But where were games like Kirby: Epic Yarn or Castlevania: Lord of Shadows? Both failed to crack the Top 10(Though Kirby sold around 150K in its debut month). And unfortunately, while Shaun White's Skateboarding title sold more than Tony Hawk's Shred 2, that isn't saying much because nether title got even around 10K(Combined as well).
Will November be the month that belongs to Call of Duty? Of course. Anything else and that would be unpatriotic.
