End of the month Already(NPD December 2010)

Folks, we've reached the end of the month. A lot of things has happened. The Good News is Sony's unveiling of the PSP2 that some called the Next Generation Portable(But some may confuse the NGP with Neo Geo Pocket). The bad news is that the PS3 has been hacked. But I believe Sony is going after them with extreme prejudice, all while they are unaware of the Streisand Effect that will affect the PS3 itself.

But something is missing. Something I forgot to report. That's right. The NPD of December 2010. But why did I decide to forget about it? Why is it?

Wait. I know why I forgot. It's all because of this

DS- 2.5M
Wii- 2.36M
360- 1.86M
PS3- 1.21M

NINTENDO*Shakes fist*

That's why I forgot. After months of 360 rule, it was crippled once again by Nintendo's evil industry-destroying machine: The Wii. The Wii, which brought motion controls and low priced gaming to the americas, has once again won against the 360 and PS3 while the DS dominates despite harsh competition from the iPod lineup.

But where's the PSP? Apparently, someone at the NPD forgot to record the PSP's sales.

Finally, the software in question.

01. Call of Duty: Black Ops (360, PS3, Wii, NDS, PC) ACTIVISION BLIZZARD
02. Just Dance 2 (Wii) UBISOFT
03. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (PC) ACTIVISION BLIZZARD - 1.5 Million
04. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (360, PS3) UBISOFT
05. Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) NINTENDO
06. Disney Epic Mickey (Wii) DISNEY INTERACTIVE STUDIOS - 1.32 Million
07. Madden NFL 11 (360, PS3, Wii, PS2, PSP) ELECTRONIC ARTS
08. Michael Jackson The Experience (Wii, NDS, PSP) UBISOFT
09. NBA 2K11 (360, PS3, Wii, PSP, PS2, PC) TAKE 2 INTERACTIVE
10. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (360, PS3, Wii, PC) ELECTRONIC ARTS - 906.4K

Apparently, PC games are now 100% counted towards the NPD sales, and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm shows its strength in sales at number 3, beaten only by a realistic shooter number 666(AKA Call of Duty Black Ops) and a game where you...dance(Just Dance 2). Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is right behind it while Donkey and Diddy are at number 5. Strangely, Mickey Mouse is also on the charts ahead of Madden and Michael Jackson(RIP Michael). Rounding out the Top 10 are NBA 2K11 and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.

Next month, I'll talk about the sales themselves overall. And from what I've heard, I got plenty to rant about.

Special thanks to: NeoGAF
