Double Trouble: Microsoft and Me

Folks, there are two things that are in hot water tonight: Myself and Microsoft: PREPARE FOR TROUBLE AND MAKE IT DOUBLE!

First off, last night I posted an article about a lawsuit against the South Park Creators over the first episode of the new season that poked fun at Tiger Woods. Well, apparently according to Joystiq, it ain't true

Today, a recent post on Daily Informer was brought to our attention, which reports that EA has decided to sue over a recent South Park episode, "Sexual Healing." The episode in question shows a mock-up of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, mixing in some ridiculous fighting elements (involving the wife he cheated on) into the golf sim portion of the game. It's really over-the-top, akin to the show's usual satire practices.

We contacted EA to get to the bottom of this, to which an EA spokesperson commented the rumored impending lawsuit is "nonsense." So, there you have it: EA is not suing over the episode. Nothing else to see here -- move along.

And with that, I apologize for last night's article. It's almost as embarrassing as the Kotaku article reporting about 3 Sony Developers switching over to Valve 3 years ago, and other sites also reporting the same thing

Now with that out of the way, here's the other half. X Scorch, a new controller made for the X-Box 360, enables one to use a Mouse and a Nunchuck-like controller to play FPS games on the 360 and on the PC

The X Scorch, which is cross-compatible with PC, combines a custom mouse with a wireless Nunchuk-esque controller that features a D-pad, an analog stick and some trigger buttons. According to Bannco, the device is upgradeable via firmware updates and has "digital sniper buttons," which certainly sounds impressive. The X Scorch retails for $79.99.

Next thing you'll know, you'll be hearing little kids screaming on X-Box Live over those who use the X Scorch, using the usual cursing and racial slurs.

And that does it for Double Trouble. Now will you excuse me, I may be in trouble because I have a dog over that barks at my presence.
